Known as one of the developing countries in Southeast Asia, the Philippines takes pride in its countless natural and historical travel attractions.

Take a Vacation in the Philippines, and See Its Unmatchable Beauty

While it has been said that it can take you 20 to 30 years to truly experience each of the 7,107 islands comprising the lovely archipelago of the Philippines, a week or two could be spared for a quick tour of its famous visitor attractions.

Nonetheless, such short period of time is already enough for you to experience the unique culture of the Filipinos, including the history and natural wonders that are taken pride of the biggest Catholic nation in Asia.

Daily Mail UK Travel staff writer Amy Watkins was even drawn to visiting the Philippines as she traces the prominent events in its history as well as the breathtaking splendor waiting in its famous islands (“Chocolate Mountains and Wide-Eyed Tarsiers on a Sweet Escape to the Philippines”).

Here’s a quick snippet of her travel to the Philippine island, named Bohol:

One of the most popular islands is Bohol, a two-hour ferry ride from Cebu… There, visitors can take a lunchtime cruise along the Loboc River or visit a butterfly farm, but Bohol is most famous for its tiny tarsiers – a primate with huge eyes and a gremlin-like appearance. Bohol is also known for an area called Chocolate Hills – the 1,268 limestone mounds are covered in lush grass and get their name because the grass turns chocolate-brown during the dry season… Occupying 20 square miles, they stretch far into the distance where water buffalo roam among rice paddies.
